He may luckily prescribe you the right medication by just looking at you, but it don't you think his judgment would be a lot more accurate if he actually knew what's inside of you? Science is necessary for human survival, which includes dissecting animals.
They are not just dissecting this rat just to see what's inside. Those students, who most are probably medical students, need to know what is inside, so they can become good future doctors. All of the rat's organs are almost the same in humans, so it's a really good specimen to study from.

really nasty even though it is education. i guess it is better to watch it than actually have to kill an inocent animal just to seee wuts inside it.
