Yes, he is a good actor but all "great" movie stars aren't great actors. Has no one ever seen Glengarry Glen Ross? Why is that when I ask anyone if they have seen that play/film they are stupified. Its embarrassing. It stars KEVIN SPACEY, AL PACINO, ALAN ARKIN, JACK LEMMON, ED HARRIS & JONATHAN PRYCE; all better actors than Alec Baldwin who appears alongside them in his best role (which was actually just a cameo). 1 of the most famous cameos ever. David Mamet directed both The Edge & Glengarry.

The Edge, The Departed, The Shadow, The Cooler, The Cat in the Hat, Pearl Harbor, The Hunt for Red October, Great Balls of Fire, Beetlejuice.
He is an American Neo-Noir Icon.
