"Recover from anything and start living in the top 1% of the healthiest people on the planet."

In this video Matthew and I talk about some of the reasons why we have chosen to have an unassisted home birth rather than go into hospital.

We also share some of the books we are reading and talk about a movie we highly recommend.

The movie we discuss in this video is called "Birth as we know it" and is available from the website http://www.birthintobeing.com/

The books we are currently reading are as follows:
http://bit.ly/Spiritual_Midwifery - Spiritual Midwifery by Ina May Gaskin
http://amzn.to/Mongon_Method - The Mongan Method

  • Raising Vegan Children in a Non-Vegan World: A Complete Guide for Parents by Erin Pavlina

  • @SeasonViolet Great, will check it out, thanks.

  • I couldn't find the link to the Russian baby/sea movie you spoke of. Did I miss it somewhere?

  • @LcognoscenteL The website is called birthintobeing com and there is an image on our video of a woman holding a baby by the feet. If you click on that, it will take you to a clip of the movie.

  • Well, I don't know that many "parent-aged" vegans, so my suggestions can only be from people that are lecturing others on diet choices in internet and various real life lectures: Jinjee, Ka sundace, Shazzie, Kate Magic all have raw children...

  • @Vikikute Hi Vikikute, thanks for your recommendations. Shazzie's daughter isn't vegan. She eats eggs and Raw Milk. We will get in touch with Jinjee & Ka Sundance & Kate Magic and see what they say.

Book on how to raise children on raw food.

  • I'd laso recommend to the man, i book written my Mantak Chia, Taoist secrets of love, Cultivating male sexual energy. based on how much vitality there is in the male semen, and how to retain and cultivate it's energy and experience much more potent deeply connecting orgasms without losing the fluid, helpful to your relationship, it's an amazing book and changed my life, gave me more life force i believe then any vitamin has retaining my semen and learning to make love without the loss of it

  • Beautiful looking couple :-)

What I like about Spiritual Midwifery is they had a very high success rate with home birth. The women often had supportive friends round them (although obviously not compulsary) creating a good atmosphere with laughing etc.Its good to remember that pain hormones and pleasure hormones cannot exist at the same time,so focussing on all parts of the body being relaxed as possible is a good thing. Its wonderful to know that pain free childbirth is definitely achievable.

  • On DurianRiders website 30bananas a day, they have a group there you can join called 'RAW PARENTS' it has over 100 members who share info. :-)

  • I know this lady who eats 7 dates first thing in the morning when she's pregnant. she has a pain free labor with all her 3 pregnancies.

  • God luck with the baby :-)

  • Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @BeYourPotential Oh, I see :) Haven't been too much into details about their kids diets (though I'm pretty sure at least Jinjee's kids are really raw vegan) and with all the stuff Shazzie says about supplements for kids, I assumed she doesn't use animal products that's why supplements are needed... Anyways, I asked a couple of "real life" vegans if they feel like it to contact you and tell you their experiences, so hopefully someone will come forward with that :)
