  • I can confirm- 4 Cubes will be available-

    Black pillowed

    White pillowed

    Black non pillowed

    White non pillowed

  • one problem with that

now v cube will think EVERY (almost every) 3x3 is a knock off :/

  • @cuberandgamer Officially a KO comes from the unauthorised copy of a patent. Whether the item physically exists or not doesn't actually matter.

  • Is there going to be a non-pillowed version?

  • @RubixxCubes I only know as much as you right now.

  • It's nice that you allow comments on your videos now. I think your channel will flourish with the feedback.

  • @thecustomcuber101 Only for this announcement.

  • el V- cube es rapido

  • Even though the patent for a 3x3x3 cubic toy is expired now, Seven Towns still has a trademark on the name "Rubik's cube" and the famous 3x3x3 cube look color scheme. So they can still breathe fire legally, even now on rival products. So watch this space, as the game is far from over yet.

  • No, they aren't. The patent for the 3x3 expired more than 10 years ago. The 3x3x3 was invented by Rubik's. So technically, the V-Cube 3 itself IS a knockoff because Erno Rubik designed the first 3x3x3.

    Keep your Type F II.

  • @pclark531 Erm... What about the original rubiks cube? and plus, a knock off comes from a copied patent, it doesn't matter whether the item physically exists.

  • But will it be better than the Dayan V?

  • oh great now every 3x3 in existence is now a knock off of the v cube sigh better throw my F2 away now

  • @jackknife0001 the one on the video

  • aaaaaah man seven towns is gonna be all over their patents for this

  • The patent for the principle of a working 3x3x3 cube toy was held by Erno Rubik and expired a long time go. So unless a 3x3x3 exactly copies the V3, then no 3x3x3 can be called a KO. But in very recent times, Seven Towns has enforced the classic copyrighted 3x3x3 "look" color scheme (ie Blue/Green, Red/Orange, Yellow/White) against Dayan. Dayan will now replace orange with purple. But if you've used a LanLan or Eastsheen cube ever, then purple on red will not be an issue ever.
