  • Keyhole saw for the win...

Some people call it a sheetrock saw.

I call it a keyhole saw...

  • harry connick Jr.'s day job, haha

  • use a "keyhole" saw. It's still a lot of work, but works better and faster. Also wear safety glasses and a dust mask!

  • omg wear eye protection... those blades can snap with enough pressure.

  • wouldn't the water build up in the layers of the roof it you just cover it up?

  • thats too much work just use a hand held saw/knife and use up and down motion when finished use the utility knife to smoothen out the edges so the new piece of sheetrock and fit perfectly

take measurements of the area u want to cover

use utility knife to cut just go over one time flip it over and break it towards u and cut the brown paper
