Donnie was in The Jaggerz with my father (one of three lead vocals). My father played drums and sang vocals on The Rapper that Donnie Iris wrote and sang. He told me at my father's funeral The Rapper was written around my father's soulful style. The Jaggerz were ahead of their time. As was DI!

I frickin love Donnie Iris' music. If you string together Ah Leah, Do you Compute, Love is Like a Rock, and Tough World you can't find 4 more kicking songs. If he had put them all on one album in the early 80's it would have been a landmark record, talked about like Huey Lewis or Yes. He was just a solid solid songwriter.
