During the Letterman interview, they did show one of Mark Harmon great actions during the game he and UCLA did against Nebraska in 1972-1973. What a strong arm!

  • Mark Harmon was a good QB..

  • Being from detroit...reminds me of. "Stafford takes, throws, calvin johnson! TOUCHDOWN DETROIT LIONS!" Hell of a throw gibbs!!! :)

  • I was at that game. Sept. 9, 1972. Harmon was 4 for 8 passing, 65 yds and a TD. He also ran for 71 yds. and another TD. Nebraska was #1 in the nation at that time and a 21-point favorite. UCLA won 20-17.

  • One of 4 completions on the day, I believe. 8 attempts. UCLA ran an option offense.

  • If you want to see Mark throw the pigskin again, you can in NCIS (Season 1's "Forced Entry"). The man still has great form and a superb spiral.
