Constable Defends Deputy After Grandmom Tasered

A Texas constable is defending his fellow deputy after a 72-year-old great-grandmother was tasered following a traffic stop. The woman is okay and charged with resisting arrest. (June 11)

@TechsArcana the full dash cam video witch i have watch show at the beginning that he tried this in witch she pulled away and at the same time pushing him in to the road that when he when he dropped the cuffs and went for the tazer really wish these video would show it all

The cop was a 'Taser instructior and had no prior use of force issues. But, I gues it must be so frustrating to be teaching others how to use it, and have no outlet yourself for this wonderful weapon. Enter a 72-year old woman. (well not lieterally).

Her age isn't the issue. Her protestations of innocence (she isn't) is not the issue.

The issue is that she is small of stature and the constable could have simply grabbed her wrist, slapped some cuffs on her and thrown her butt in jail, where she clearly belongs.

I would have said the same if this was some 30-yr old dude who was short and thin. Just because a person is acting badly doesn't give the police permission to use more force than is necessary.

This old woman is a liar. She at 1st said she did nothing wrong...Then all of a sudden the police tape came out and she shut up. Cop was right to Taser her. The woman was acting like a bitch. If it were a dude I woulda wanted the officer to smack him a few times then taser his ass.She disrespected the PO.If she obeys the officer she gets a simple speeding ticket and is sent on her way. Now she has to not only pay her speeding ticket she could spend up to 1 year in jail for resisting arrest
