Don't just stick to flat washes, there are all kinds of skies just waiting to be captured in watercolours. In this tutorial, we look a quite a dramatic, stormy sky. For Bob's free watercolor e-book please visit http://www.watercoloursecrets.com

  • I was skeptical when you started tossing in the burnt umber and Payne's gray. I know I would have panicked if those colors had gone onto my paper that strong. But the sky turned out really gorgeous. The whole picture did. I can't wait to try it.

  • Excellent workshop, thank you Bob :)

  • Fabulous tutorial Bob - and WOW - what a fantastic painting.

  • :O wow, nice lesson, thank you!

  • Wonderful illustration of what water does, making watercolor painting special. Much of the effect is from the water, even in the mixing of the colors on the paper. Great teaching video. Thanks, Bob

  • Wow what a great efect that dark sky had on the painting overall. Would love to see more.
