  • They don't use reverse thrusters on long runways, sometimes 757 pilots don't use reverse thrusters (I've seen it) If the runway is long enough, a plane like a 767 even can land without Thrusters, just good old speed brakes and breaks on the tires (under a certain speed)

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot I wouldn't call it trash. It saves fuel, and that's less ware on the engines.

  • @2004JETTA Yeah, I read up on why AA's EMB-145s don't use reverse thrust. They said they don't use them on longer runways that are in good condition. If it's a shorter runway and/or has bad conditions, like weather, then they will use reverse thrust.
