Rising from the Ashes:

On February 7, 2009 Victoria experienced its worst bush fire in recorded history.

The documentary runs for 60 minutes and explores the lives of some of the people directly affected by the fires.

This is NOT a documentary directly about the bush fire event.

It is a story about the people who were impacted by Black Saturday, where they are now and what are the issues facing them as they rebuild their lives.

When an event like Black Saturday occurs, what happens to faith?
Is it lost?
gained?
or challenged in the day to day struggles and rebuilding of every day people.

Is there hope after Black Saturday?

This documentary aims to explore these questions and discover what hope, if any can rise from the ashes of Black Saturday.
