  • Private property are airport terminals, you reqyure conscent to film.

  • @paul1967uk

Airports are not "public" nor is Canary Wharf for that matter. Its privately owned

Like the examples i gave. To be honest, its really a matter of preparation, everywhere i plan on shooting, i always check if i will need permits.

Its all good saying "No one can stop you filming in public" But in the end, ive been stopped, and ive been shown on 2 occasions the piece of legislation i was arguing about the existence of

But unless they want to give me the £5 for the film, im not going

  • @rorrt NOBODY CAN STOP YOU FILMING IN PUBLIC

  • @paul1967uk

    Yes you do!

Just recently i was doing some street photography around Canary Wharf. And i was told absolutely correctly that i needed a photography permit from that borough. And same for photographing Billingsgate fish market. And then the same for photographing many buildings in and around London

I'm not asking you to trust me on this...But i can tell you as a matter of fact, i have had to get permits (all of which were free i might add) about 20 times. I won't call you an "idiot"

  • @rorrt You don't need permits etc to photograph around London. IDIOT

  • I am with the airports on this one 100%.

As has been stated above, its not a public place like a library, or on a village green.

You do need permission, now that is more often than not free. Im a photographer, and realise that you really need preparation to do any shooting around London. Permission slips and permits galore!
