Famous plot music played during the show of the popular television series, composed by Lalo Shifrin. This music would play during the unfolding story virtually every week. Sometimes you would just hear the snare drum playing, or similar music to this as Barney, for example, was crawling through the duct system of a building, hooking up his gadgets. One of the best TV shows EVER!
Lalo Shifrin...the master. Wrote memorable music for many Clint Eastwood movies....Dirty Harry. Joe Kidd. Magnum force. Kelly's Heroes. Coogan's Bluff. Wrote the music for Steve McQueen's Bullit. Paul Newman's Cool Hand Luke. Lots of TV shows.
Still going strong after all these years.

My favorite motif from the series. What's the origin of these recordings? Are they available as separate tracks on the dvd box set?

Thanks for letting me hear this! It has been forever since I heard the plot music for this show. I know it by heart even after 40 years of not hearing it. Odds are, I will self destruct long before this message does. Rock on, Mr Phelps!
