Lead Kindly Light is released by www.classichymns.in. Recording for Lead Kindly Light was done live at the St Andrew's Church, Chennai, South India. The Choirs comprise of members from St Andrew's Kirk, Madras Musical Association, Emmanuel Methodist Church, C.S.I Redeemer Church-Anna Nagar, Christ Methodist Church-Chinmiya Nagar, Adaikalanather Lutheran Church, Lutheran Men's Voice, Mellow Circle, Handel Manuel Chorus, Shamas, Marthoma Church-Chetput, Celestial Voice-Koyembedu, Women's Christian College Choir, Mount Ensemble Male Voice, Voice of Eden and Cultural A-Cappalla Singers. The smaller groups are Mount Ensemble Male Voice, Gospel Quintet, Canticles, Michaels Children's Home, 316, Breakthrough Band NL AG and Octet Cantabile. Lead Kindly Light album is released on 17th Oct09.




Dedication of a hymn (Lead Kindly Light) was done on October 2nd, 2009 Dedication of one hymn on 2nd Oct to the Nation - Of the 8 Mass Choir Hymns another of Mahatma Gandhi's favourite hymn "Lead kindly Light" features in the album. As 2nd Oct was Gandhi Jayanthi we thought it fitting to dedicate this hymn to the Nation. By having a ragpicker from the Koduingayur area( North Chennai- India) release the CD/DVD( see pictures ), Classic Hymns shares the hope of Light to the less privileged living in gloom and darkness that they can move "from darkness to Light".
