Do you remember this? This was CBS's precursor to "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman."

1988 CBS western "Paradise" starred Lee Horsley, Sigrid Thornton, Dehl Berti, Jenny Beck, Matthew Newmark, Brian Lando, and Michael Patrick Carter.

Ethan Allen Cord is a gunfighter living in the 1890s mining town of Paradise, California when he suddenly falls heir to his sister's four children. He tries to give up his profession and take up ranching, and he raises the kids with the help of an Indian friend, John Taylor, and the lady banker, Amelia Lawson. A friendship, and later a romance, develop between Ethan and Amelia.

@MIGUELJIMENEZ2010 The last episode was "Unfinished Business." The episode about Tiny almost dying was the episode before that.

Loved it though not as much after they changed it to "Guns of Paradise" and tried to make it grittier. I still have pics of Matthew Newmark from teeny-bopper magazines of the day! LOL

I agree. I think CBS hindered the show's success by promoting it as a shoot 'em up. No one knew how good it was unless they accidentally stumbled across it. If they had promoted it as a family show like they did with "Dr. Quinn" it probably would have been on a lot longer.

whatever happened to the cast of Paradise/Guns of Paradise? it's like they all disappeared after the show was canceled.

Sigrid Thornton went back to Australia and starred a tv series there. Lee Horsley did a couple of short lived series in the early 90s. Dehl Berti died the year Paradise ended. To my knowledge, M.P. Carter was the only one of the kids to act afterwards and he only worked into the mid-nineties.

This has me stood on reminisce corner, it's a shame it hasn't been shown more on UK TV (intact I don't think it's been shown since) but that means it holds more memories :). Puts me right back to being a 10 year old again!

@paradiseshow1988 Lee Horsley worked w/Paradise Creator David Jacobs (who also gave us Dallas and Knots Landing) on the set of Bodies of Evidence a Short-Lived CBS Crime Drama that also featured Future ER Star George Clooney

Hey I remember this!!! I enjoyed it back in the day. Liked the music and the idea of the flipping pics or the opening sequence.

Never forgot the epi when the blond brother (Ben?) had problems learning to read because he was dyslexic. Was a pretty good family show.
