LIVE from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on November 30, 1990.

While penning their 1990 studio album, BRIGADE, the Wilson sisters became disenchanted with the keyboard-heavy pop sound featured on Heart's previous two records, as well as working with outside songwriters. On the ensuing tour, the sisters had turned their back on their late-'80s Top 40 hits, focusing primarily on their late-'70s glory period and material from their latest album. But for Heart's second live album, 1991's ROCK THE HOUSE LIVE!, the band decided to mostly showcase their recent direction (the rockers "Wild Child," "Night"), with just a few old gems such as the rapid-fire "Barracuda" and the tranquil "Love Alive" featured.

***LYRICS***
Caught you in the act - can't put up with that
Messing where you shouldn't be
I wanna hear you say you're sorry
Cause nobody takes advantage of me

You're missing the mark - shooting in the dark
I'm pulling the wool from my eyes
Baby don't you push me further
It's gonna hurt you if it happens here

If looks could kill
You'd be lying on the floor
You'd be begging me please please
Baby don't hurt me no more
If looks could kill
You'd be reeling from the pain
And you'd never lie again
If looks could kill

You're living on the edge - hanging by a thread
I'm watching every move you make
You don't want to see my anger
So don't you make another mistake

Love is on the line - i ain't about to be kind
That's a promise and a threat
If i was you i'd really cool it
Or risk a night you'll never forget

If looks could kill
You'd be living on the floor
You'd be begging me please please
Darlin don't hurt me no more
If looks could kill
You'd be reeling from the pain
And you'd never lie again
If looks could kill

I was a fool to believe in you
A sucker for every line
I'm a little less blind
Than i was before
I can see right through your design

You'd be begging me please please
Darlin don't hurt me no more
If looks could kill
You'd be reeling from the pain
And you'd never lie again
If looks could kill

You'd be begging me please please
Darlin don't hurt me no more
If looks could kill
You'd be reeling from the pain
Ynd you'd never lie again
If looks could kill
If looks could kill

  • okay ppl have been giving me S*** becasue i say that they took this idea from Motley Crue. Im here to say, that the album "Shout at The Devil" was released the 26th of September 1983 which featured "Looks That Kill". Okay. The self titled "Heart" album was released July 6th, 1985. 2 years after "Shout At The Devil." Now im not saying Heart is a bad for taking an idea and making it their own. Its a VERYYY GOOOOOOOOOD SONG

  • i hope heart comes back to long island next year. i hate concerts at the coliseum but id go any where to see them

  • @Xeivous heart dose not copy anyone dumbass

  • Well to be exact Bob wrote the lyrics and I wrote the music...thanks for the defense!

  • the bass player said ANN kissed him!

  • Since the songs aren't remotely related in subject or musical style, its kind of silly to claim the song was plagiarized because of a similarity in title. I can find thousands of songs with similar titles that aren't related to each other.

  • me too

  • I love it..
