This video shot with N95 shows an unique problem I have with my brand new PS3. Oddly enough, the problem only occurs during Motorstorm.

Notice the flickering glitches on shadow areas near the edges of the track on the cliffs, as well as the ground before the jump.

The artifacting would lead me to suspect a faulty RSX processor - but why it doesn't appear in any other game or demo - no idea.

I'm afraid getting a faulty PS3 swapped is a huge hassle - I'm still on the fence.

  • @anthonybodea hell yeah bro PS2 was Great

  • The RSX seems to have a high defect rate, actually. I've seen a lot of PS3s with similar issues.

  • @Xerxes359 i had an xbox 360 and bought recently a ps3 slim, and it`s easyer to fry eggs on the ps3 lol but i dont care.

  • I have the same problem but ain't as bad as this will it get worse.

  • @s2jdask8er, No. Shader aliasing is actually in most cases, intentional. And this is nothing to do with the TV, thats the RSX having some rasterization trouble. It should'nt happen on a spankin' new PS3. Call sony, and don't take any crap from them because if they've sold you a defective product, they're bound to fix it. Or at least give you a refund.

  • @ hours is enough

  • Ha! That's the same problem I had with my PS2...

  • lucky for u my rsx is all fucked up....well at least i get a 15 mins to play, sometimes i could play it for a least 2 hours... :( i need to get it fix.

  • The playstation 3 does have a bit of a problem with rendering some kind of shadows. They go all pixelated on the edge-- that's nothing to do with this though. That's the television settings not being able to match the settings you've turned on on your PS3. :)

  • I loved PS2, I then moved onto 360 but than found an original halo 2 blue xbox outside, I took it home and repaired it, modded it and I loved it, so many features once modded. And PS2 just had such a massive game library. PS2 took the cake for the DRE. Xbox 360 takes it for the RROD and Nintendo never really has problems, well unless your my friends his wii's disc drive sounds like utter shit and sometimes he gets a DRE. PS2 still sells. Huge success it was.
