I read an interview of Andy Timmons talking about his search for tones in the studio and how he could never find that perfect tone every time, because he kept striving for Eric's perfection. Welcome to our world Andy lol welcome to our world
Love Eric's work and I hope he's held as high as the other great composer's of our time when looked back upon in the future

@azkeyz It's the same in Tennessee. I lived in Austin fron '92-'96, and I know of what you speak. (Been playing since 1066) Guitar duels aren't called "cuttin' heads" for nothing. Eric played Memphis in support of this album and there were maybe 50 people there. All of them guitarists. Eric and Steve Morse are two of the nicest guys I've ever met. They're SO good, and they know it , that they don't even have to prove it.

I'm in Amarillo Texas as we speak.
There really is nothing like being a guitarist in Texas. it means things such as
1. nobody wants you to suceed especialy if you're better than them.
2. it does not mean strictly blues like SRV , it can mean neo classical.
Lesser musicians take one wiff of the air and get back on the plane lol
Hope that doesn't spoil anyones dreams of fame.
