@orlandogirl213 Sorry for saying this but you ain't very good at interpreting things then. This is the ultimate unselfish thing Jack ever did. Instead of granting himself the immortality by being the captain of the ship, he makes Will the captain. And he does that, because their love is more important in the end than his immortality. Afterwards he takes her away from the ship, because yes. The ship is pretty screwed. (As far as he knows anyway). Really can't see how people can misinterpet this.

I really think he was more concerned with getting her the hell out of there since the ship was going underwater. It doesn't matter what Elizabeth THOUGHT at the moment. Jack was getting her someplace safe FIRST then the talk could happen. He had less than 20 seconds to get them out of there. No time for talk. And by Jack's expression when Will returns, Jack was just as surprised that Will returned at Elizabeth. He wasn't SURE Will would return.
