Rod Roddy was the closest announcer to a Johnny Olson soundalike that TPIR could find as Olson's replacement.

I know I'm going to get a lot of hate messages, and a lot of bad feelings about this, but...
I couldn't stand the way Rod Roddy sounded. His voice was crackly, it wasn't real, he had no power, and sounded more like a broke Fozzy Bear than a game show announcer.
He may have been a good person, I didn't know him, I'm sorry he's dead, I hate that his family had to go through that, but dammit, the man just was NOT all that as an announcer.
Thumbs down me all you want, but fact is fact.
