As well as creating Dragonball, Akira Toriyama is also responsible for the character designs of this very series.

Actually, Akira Toriyama was responsible for all of the Dragon Quest/ Dragon Warrior art work as well.

Are you sure? A lot of the artwork in the DQ series were drawn by Toriyama. The US versions of 1-4 for NES didn't have his art in the manuals.

No he was responsible for the charecter design on part 8 but not the series as a whole, but he did also do the charecter desgin on Chrono Trigger(One of the Best Rpgs ever)
