Captured after our excursion at the Fortress of Snarkitude and proof that I did spin poi at Burning Man.

An impromptu spin at the Nexus sound stage as we tracked our way back to society.

  • I love the cheeky up-down-stall-switchy-things (do they have a proper name? :P ) like at 0:53. They may well be my next goal :P

  • @thetoobnoob Yup, they're called Stall Switches. You got it right the first time :)

I don't think the specific moves have been named yet but the concept is around in a couple of videos I've seen.

  • @JaxFlow You guys should check out some meteor spinning. I've gotten better at the triquetra/pendulum but it's still nothing compared to what meteor spinners do.

  • such yum sauce G thanks for posting :}

  • Love it! Excellent ideas & beautiful as always. Dom

  • @firemblemrules9 The first thing at 0:09 is In-spin stalls out and in again before heading off into Wall Plane flowers

The second thing at 0:39 is based on long arm weave, turning linking into huggies(crossers) and coming out again.

  • No idea on the track name guys. We rocked up there randomly straight out of deep playa.

  • @tubularG or anyone please help identify this song. it sounds sooo goood! thanks

  • inspired

  • Track name?? Nexus is the name of the stage.. anybody.. help please!

  • greatness

  • I don't know what the first thing was, but the thing at 39-41 was just part of a body tracer, or it can be a variation of a crosser.

  • At 0:09-0:10 does anyone know what, if anything, it's called when he changes the direction of the poi to go in front and behind him parallel with his outstretched arms?

Also at 0:39-0:41 does anyone know if there's a name for what he does when he seems to do a weave, but under his armpit and wrapped over his shoulder.

These two moments seemed particularly impressive, although the whole thing was fantastic, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or videos to help me learn them.

  • @tubularG I want to spin with you. You made me drool all over this keyboard, awesome repitoire and fantastic flow. Ever around the Midwestern US?

  • He is so hot:)

  • his 360 anti-spins are so fluid

  • yes, i too would really love to know what the title of this song is! please help?

  • This guy is the one ho i can respect whithin the Poi comunity and online sharing.

  • I-am-in-love!

  • I love the combination of a pink fedora (or is that a homburg or trilby? I'm bad with hat identification) with green harem trousers. Rock on.

  • @fbcota And it's good, that there are still guys with professional equipment, who are just using it for fun :-)

  • @basilolo. To each his own I guess. Sometimes when a pro videographer is having fun filming friends he simply plays around with the camera work and ignores the typical spinning trope of a boring wide shot. This wasn't filmed for the moves, or anything other then "hey, we were having fun".

  • @mortsy Everyone seems to use 5DMKII recently. Maybe with a tripod or something it would be smashing awesome ;-) Thanks for response man!
