I can imagine the humor over police radio now: "request for backup, classic vw beetle spotted doing 100+ southbound on the I15, over." dispatch: "i didn't copy, please repeat, over"

I love hearing that BOV:)....Question for you....Im running a 2332 vw n/a hi compression engine in my sand rail, im really thinking about going to a 2.5 n/a. Do you run a aftermarket ecu or did you make the stock computer work? The research ive done, the aftermarket ecu is about as much as the engine! Just curious wat you did for a computer. Thanks! Nice swap man! I bet thats a blast to drive!!!!!

@palongee1 i got my ecu aftermarket. yes they are a little pricey but didnt want to mess with wiring so i went the easy route! call OUTFRONT Motorsport ask for JEremy. im using EMS stinger and outfront wiring harness.

i have a 71 vw and want to put the ej20 in do you have any tips. also what kind of transmission are you using is it the original 4 speed or did you bump up to a 5

@killnman12 im using a beefed up rancho transmission. still 4 speed! you dont really need 5 speed coz the car cant really go over 130 MPH coz the front is too light! have to use elevator weights on the front to hold the car down, 100 lbs. i have to add the weight to be safe :)
