Journey of the Gifts

In early December, JUST MERCY received word that Samaritan's Purse was going to give us nearly 500 Operation Christmas Child gift boxes for the children attending our three schools in the remote mountains of Haiti! It was a huge job for Bill to pull all the things together to make it happen, transportation of the boxes to the trail head, mules to take them up, food for a meal for all the people, and get word to all the children to come to a central location, some walking for hours to get there.

God choreographed everything beautifully! Four SP staff members went with us. They were wonderful!! Bill was able to speak with Yvrose translating and tell the children the Christmas story and more. After the initial distribution, Bill traveled on to Pensek to take a Christmas box to Adrienne, the crippled young woman he has gotten to know who lives on the side of a mountain.

This was the event of a lifetime for these children and for Bill. We are grateful to the great folks at Samaritan's purse for making it possible.
