Harry Vold of Avondale, Colorado was interviewed by Gail Woerner and videotaped by Chuck Rand, Dickinson Research Center Director at the National Cowboy Museum on October 24, 2009. A stock contractor since the early 1950s Vold is affectionately called the Duke of Chutes. He has supplied stock to all of the major rodeos in the country and has been the exclusive contractor for the Cheyenne Frontier Days since 1976. He is one of only two stock contractors who have provided stock to every National Finals Rodeos since it began in 1959. He has been named PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year 11 times, is a ProRodeo Hall of Fame Inductee and was the PRCA Man of the Year in 1977. Harry Vold is a 2009 Rodeo Historical Society's Rodeo Hall of Fame inductee.
