did he do this having been inspired by the ending of Aladdin Sane? Just trying to work out why he chose this cover. He is clearly strongly influenced by David Bowie.

The sad thing is that not once do we actually see Currie performing his masterpiece close up! Anyway, total genius. Saw the man just the other week in Zurich with the 'Vox...nearly grabbed his drumstick at the end, but it went to my friend!

still fantastic after all those years...
i do look such foreward to buy this on the forthcoming tpp dvd (without(!) these bothersome visual video effects of course..they annoy me since 79 :-)
+...shame that it will be probably only the 45min. version...such a fantastic show!!!!
(still in my memories from munich '80 in march...i was 14...;-))
why cant they do the whole show on it...???

benson was the origenal, broadway, yet gary does it 4 me. im 46yrs old, at at the young year of 15 my 1st tatoo was numan, yet b4 numan was tube way army. Every album of theres n gary numans i possess, ive met him n i carn,t express how much he sends me, im a true fan xxxx

I disagree about the vocals. The music sounded like something from a sci-fi movie and Numan's voice fit perfectly...as well as his look. I can't think of any artist who matched sound and image so accurately than Gary Numan did from 1979 to 1981.
