This is an actual live round of golf on video.
I used non-star Yoshi to play a round of Speed Golf on Congo Canopy (the par 3 course) with tournament greens on. In Speed Golf, you have to finish each hole in as little time as possible, so there is no time to measure your shots. You just have to know what each hole looks like, quickly line up your shots (without adjusting the camera), and trust your shot-making ability. Normal rounds take far longer... typically about twice as long as speed golf rounds for me.
The best part about Speed Golf in the records and videos is that you are not allowed to set mulligans or other handicaps, and you're not allowed to save, quit, and restart holes, so all scores earned are 100% legit.
I got a hole-in-one on hole 16 live on video as part of this round. That was my 53rd hole-in-one in MGTT (37 on Congo Canopy, 16 on regular courses), and 93rd in Mario Golf 64 and Mario Golf Toadstool Tour combined (I have 98 combined as of 8/24/07). I currently have 58 holes-in-one in MGTT (41 Congo Canopy, 17 regular) and 40 in MG64 (all using only MG64 characters and no custom clubs). A Congo Canopy hole-in-one is nowhere near as impressive as one from the standard 6 courses, but is still noteworthy.
I finish with 4:44.27, which is a personal record by 12 seconds. I scored -19; one hole-in-one and seventeen birdies.
This is part 2, containing the back 9 and results screen.
Pictures of MGTT records and stats can be found in my Photobucket.
