Eminence Mo Wild Horse Herds of Shannon County

There are currently three wild horse herds in Shannon Co Missouri. The Broadfoot Herd, The Grassy Herd and the Shawnee Creek Herd. This video is of the Shawnee Creek Herd. Thirteen members strong and two mares ready to foal. What a beautiful day!

You are very welcome! The Rally was held in Van Buren Mo. in the early 1990's Thousands of us converged upon the town on horseback. The motto was Wild And Free Let Them Be!

I was a camper and counselor at Camp Zoe in Shannon County for many years in the 1980's and 1990's. The locals always spoke of these horses (as well as mountain lions). This is the first time I have seen them. Very cool and thanks for posting the vid.
