As a professional mastering engineer you should know how to express preferable mix levels in decibels and not "this is great and this is great, and this is hot, and this other is great too".
awesome, cause today a lot of production, also massive hit recording was at 0 db and are cliped and Brick wall XD !!! now i always refer to a Vynile standard at - 6 db or -10 db , i think - 3 db is realy the limit for a good CD quality. but a good mixing with soft compression, is always 90 % of the good sound. using analog tape can also help.

@SonofJaphet 3dB's of headroom is considered "enough" but 6dB's of headroom is what most mastering engineers ask for
