When you touch this mimosa plant it shrinks. Native to brazil... this one is in Ecuador.

    this one is called pudica mimosa and its sensible to touch, heat or even sun so it closes in the night and opens again in the morning. When u touch it it closes up and opens within minutes (since there is still sun shining) ^^

  • This plant is a weed in Australia, and the goverment tells us to destroy any we find. Even so, it is everywhere. They can grow up to a metre in height (thats over 3ft for you non-metric peoples). They are also knows as "sensitive weed" for obvious reasons.

  • @umriBambi No, it's not a Mimosa Pudica; Pudicas have leaves that are in groups of 3 and 4.

  • of course all plants are alive but mimosa pudica moves

  • it closes so it looks unappealing to animals like cows.
