The Police fue una banda de rock new wave inglesa cuyo estilo está marcado por el reggae y el jazz. Se formó en 1977 y tocaron oficialmente hasta marzo de 1984 (nunca emitieron un comunicado sobre su disolución).

The Police volvió a presentarse en 2003 en ocasión de su ingreso al Salón de la Fama. Cuatro años más tarde, se reunieron para la entrega de los premios Grammy en febrero del 2007 e interpretaron "Roxanne". También en 2007, se embarcaran en una gira mundial que los llevo a tocar en más de 20 países, 21 años después de su último concierto

I don't know who influenced who, but this Police song it's the must Rush sound alike song. I love both bands and love this song too.
