When the weather gets poor, it's nice to have a place to stay out of the weather and still get some range time in. Also, places like old abandon houses can serve as predator calling set ups. Rabbits and other small game take cover in the trees around these buildings, and make a great place to call coyotes in.
We practice out of the 2nd story of one such building so that in the fall and winter, we know exactly how to approach the location.

Here are two series of practice sessions, not to shoot for the tightest groups, but to increase the comfort level of taking a 400m shot at a predator. Well within range and on the verge of "easy" when you practice.

  • what is your POI shift with the can on, from your unsuppressed zero? Or do you strictly shoot that setup suppressed and have your base zero with the can on? I get almost 6 inches of POI with my YHM 7.62 QD on a rem 700 308 26 inch barrel...thanks

  • @ASCBLUEYE if I remember correctly, I have about 1.5" shift, but I NEVER shoot without the can. Unless I win a hunt in a different state, I'll probably never shoot without a can till the day I die.

  • yo iv been looking for a nice new sniper to go hunting with what are u using

  • @bigwok96 this question doesn't make any sense to me...sorry.

  • haha. the shells are hitting the ground at just about the exact time the bullet is impacting the steel.

  • @theonlyrealcbass16 Great video, Cbass. It was quite relaxing. I especially enjoyed the music.

  • @MavHunter20XX You'll never know what you need till you realize what you could do.

  • @theonlyrealcbass16 Still, you're using a smartphone for ballistics, that's pretty awesome. I'm not yet at the point where I feel the need for a ballistics computer, but someday....

  • @MavHunter20XX No, I'm using an HTC Eris running Shooter Ballistic on Android. Easily the most accurate, effective and inexpensive ballistic app available for a smart phone.

  • Are you seriously using your Iphone as a ballistc computer?
