Broken Love Chap. 2 part one

SYDNEY'S POV

I was sitting across from Jana on the couch, it'd been awhile since we talked compared to normally talking everyday just a few years ago. Bonnie would be coming soon, and it would be one big friend reunion. I wonder whats taking her so long. Just then the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it" I told Jana, getting up from the couch and heading to the front door. I already knew who it was.

"Hey Bonnie" I said, moving aside so she could walk in, then closing the door behind her.

"Hey Syd" she said, setting down her bag. "Wow, weather here is sure different then in Wisconsin" she said, looking around the place to see if anything had changed.

"Bonnie!" Jana said running in.

"Hello Jana" she said, hugging her.

"So, whats new?" I asked both of them.

"Eh, not much, same old same old" Bonnie said, pulling her phone out of her pocket. Apparently she'd gotten a text. She didnt look too happy about it either.

"Who are you texting?" Jana asked, picking up her mood as well.

"Nobody" she mumbled, texting the person back, then quickly put her phone back into her pocket. I let the subject go, and so did Jana. We were all back together for the holidays, no need for any drama.

"I'll be right back" Jana said, running up the stairs.

"Syd, theres something I need to tell you" Bonnie said, once Jana was upstairs.

"What's that?" I asked.

"I ran into them, at Starbucks. I was texting Kevin back" she said, looking away.

My face froze. I never thought we'd hear from them again. I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out, so Bonnie continued.

"I guess Joe's begging him to ask me to give him your number" she said.
Joe wanted my number.

"What" I choked out.

"Do you want me to give him your number or not, Sydney" she said quickly.

"Give him my email, I'm not sure if I want him having my phone number, I can make a new email easily" I said. I wanted to talk to Joe, but then again, I didnt. Bonnie nodded, and took out her phone, texting my email to Kevin.

"Alright, I'm back, kinda. Last minute call into work, Im sorry, I'll be back later though, okay" Jana said, grabbing her coat, and slipping on her shoes.

"That's alright Jana, we still have a long Christmas break to enjoy" I said. Jana smiled, waved, and walked out into her car.

"Well, I think you might want to go check your email, Syd" Bonnie said, taking out her laptop.

"Aim is faster then texting" she said, walking to the couch and starting it up. I nodded, and took out mine as well. Maybe Id give him my aim instead.
