1. Eating natto is a piece of cake for me, eventhough I am a Filipino.
2. Before, I was poor in English now I am hanging on with your help.
3. Last week, I paid through the nose when I buy an expensive dress which I realized later there are a lot more prettier and cheaper dress around the mall.
'Beg the question' is used when something is presented to a person, and upon hearing or seeing this thing, you feel a question has to be asked about it.
for example;
A your friend walks into your room holding a koala. That begs the question; "why do you have a koala?"
It means you are holding the other person up, not doing what they want to do. They would say it when they want you to do something, but you don't want to.
for example;
I want to go to the park, but I will only go if my friend goes with me. My friend doesn't want to go, thus he is a stick-in-the-mud.

Thats "Don't be such a stick in the mud"
It means you are holding the other person up, not doing what they want to do. They would say it when they want you to do something, but you don't want to.
for example;
I want to go to the park, but I will only go if my friend goes with me. My friend doesn't want to go, thus he is a stick-in-the-mud.

Thank you! i like that
What does 'Don't be such a stick in the mug!'mean?
I heard it in 'Growing pains.'and i have no idea whatsoever what it means. And i can't find it anywhere.
And also two tricky bewildering ones for me:
beg the question/literally/Don't be a wise guy/i am overwhelmed....
