  • Veil of Maya has never "revolved around breakdowns". That is the main reason most people listen to them, because they don't chug on the low E string the entire album. I find it hard to believe that you even listened to their previous albums.

  • @VaylorGames There's a breakdown in some essence is almost every Veil of Maya song. And many parts of id did revolve around breakdowns.

  • @AbsentProductions "many parts of id did revolve around breakdowns" I'm sorry but this is so far from the truth. Not to say that there isn't any at all, but to say that many parts of id "revolved" around the breakdowns is ridiculous. But hey, you are entitled to your opinion and I'm not here to bash you.

  • @VaylorGames That's exactly how I feel about it. Well hey, you're better than half the people who comment on our videos.

  • @AbsentProductions To each his own!

  • @VaylorGames Glad that we can have a civil conversation about it, rather than you jumping straight to insults. So I give you props. You gave your side, I gave mine.. We obviously disagree, but we can just agree to disagree!

  • I have to disagree. Veil of Maya has never been "in your face" or "death core". They've always been progressive. The Common Man's Collapse was wonderful and [id] was pretty good, but not as good. I'm not a big fan of All Things Set Aside, but the other 2 were good. I thought Vicious Circles was pretty damn good, but just not as good as It's Not Safe to Swim Today or We Bow in it's Aura.

  • Common man's collapse will never be topped.. . . . . . . and Misha Mansoor needs to gtfo Periphery is good don't get me wrong but he's making all the bands sound like him

  • The Common Man's Collapse is no doubt Veil of Maya's best album. There was more thought and emotion into it.

  • @AbsentProductions I think likewise.

wished it was a longer album too. im disappointed in that.. and the tracks are short so im left thinking.. "is that it?" lol Im just thinking about if they just filled in the gaps with crazy insane breakdowns. haha.

  • @Jonathansernel1 I just don't prefer it. I've heard the new album and I have to say I'm slightly disappointed in the fact that it almost doesn't have time to go anywhere.. To literally progress.. Due to it's short length.Nonetheless, it's a decent album. I look forward to reviewing it, and it sounds pretty great production-wise, nice and full rather than flat and dull. Misha helped write parts too, so there's your atmosphere.. haha. Still, 28 minutes.. Man, that is not an album.

  • @AbsentProductions hmm why not? Is it because of the breakdowns? or the overall structure of the album? Idk. but imo I love breakdowns. lol Gets my anger out a lot more. I love this new album but wished it had more punch and kick. This new one has more atmosphere which is awesome. Now i hope they take more time with their next album. im still getting the album either way though. VoM is my favorite Deathcore Band.
