You should change the fan.. You can go to eBay it cost up to 20$ no more!!!;for you audio driver you need to google for windows ghosted driver once you find the old drivers delete then and install again .

the reason it keeps turning off on you is because its heating up, look up videos how to disassemble it and clean the fan. That's it!!! i had the same problem not fixed

reinstall windows on it im guessing you have vista there might be a recovery partition on your hard drive if so use that if not you can easily order the discs from hp for pretty cheap like 10 bucks
