  • nice

  • I recommend that you watch my video that speaks directly about my experience with the Dreamworlds video - you'll see just how disgusted I am by the content in music videos. As far as embracing our sexuality, that is definitely not what those music videos promote - I think we should break out from the box created by these videos, and study the many facets of our sexuality.

  • What you said is exactly what I was trying to say in my video. I agree with the sentiments expressed in the Dreamworlds 3 video. The African American women are portrayed in music videos as "animalistic and ravenous" - I hardly believe that those women actually act like that in real life. Music videos give us a very skewed and one sided view of sexuality - the view of the male. That's why we see the primitive sexual imagery. The woman is just a sex object. This is hardly reality.

  • P.S. White racism???? What about all other races???? Whites are not just racist, others are as well. And many whites and others, are NOT racist.

  • this is true ... i used white racism because that is the term addressed in the book ... the author didn't go outside of that.

  • Th pornographic male mindset of womens sexuality is not one facet of sexulaity-it is completely untrue.

  • your money and make a living. The black and white women come to represent the ideal level of beauty, however, this ideal standard is almost impossible to obtain without destroying your body. In your last slide, you say that we should "embrace our sexuality and study it". I don't think that that's what rap/hip-hop videos are going for, and from what I understand from your video, you're against the Dreamworlds3 video and in the end your sort of for it...

  • 95% of rap/hip-hop music videos are produced by males. What are some things that typical males want? Women, cars, and a lot of money, which is basically what is depicted in music videos because it attracts an audience. "Sex sells", and it's true. I hate to admit it, but it's true. The women shown in music videos are portrayed as having no personality or intelligence, and I'm sure that if somebody interviewed them, would say that they don't really like doing these videos, but it's a way to earn..

  • Hmmm. I disagree with many segments in this video. I really don't think of white women as being pure, nor do I think of African American women as being "animalistic and ravenous". If you've seen the first or the second Dreamworlds video, there are very few african american women in there. As for the third, it's based upon newer music video content that is being released, so it's basically mirroring what is being showed today. Rap/Hip-hop is predominantly african american males, and just about...
