Hello jpakkane, now I use Ubuntu. I can open the Glyphtracer and detect the letters, but I can't generate the SFD file. See what the program told: "SFD generation failed - [Ermo 2] Archive not found. PyQt4.QtCore.Qstring(u''). I have already installed pyqt4 and potrace, but I can't generate the SFD file. What will I do?

Any tips on creating the image file with the glyphs? I have read the tips in the readme that comes in the download but cannot get Glyphtracer to correctly detect my individual glyphs. I have even using text (an existing font) to keep the characters on the same line with lots of space between characters and I cannot get the program to recognize the individual glyphs. It has to be something I'm doing wrong or some dependency I'm missing. Thank you in advance and great visual tutorial!

@MyPartofthePage In order for the program to detect different lines, it must find a continuous row of white pixels from the left edge to the right edge. If you have, for example, black noise at the edge of the image, it will break the detection algorithm.

Hey jpakkane! Good afternoon! I like a lot this idea. But I need your help. How do I install and open the Glyphtracer? I use Windows XP Professional. I downloaded Glyphtracer 1.2.

@anonimo01061989 Unfortunately Glyphtracer runs only on Linux.

Really very bad! I wanted a lot to use Ubuntu on my old computer, but my stepfather doesn't allow me to use it, so he hates Linux, he prefers Windows while I hate Windows. But is it possible me to scan and import the font paper to my computer and save it as png, select and copy one letter from Paint or Inkscape and paste on FontForge?

@anonimo01061989 Fontforge documentation will tell you how to do that.
