New Guinea is a rugged tropical island that is home to some of the strangest creatures on the planet. The team is based at the foot of Mount Bosavi, a giant extinct volcano covered in thick and largely unexplored rainforest. With the help of trackers from a remote tribe they aim to search for the animals that live there - and they make amazing finds.

I watched the first one last evening on iPlayer ... was brilliant we all were transfixed, really excellent program guys, really excellent... more please!

if you made more progs like this and bought less of the american junk... the beeb would be watched by many more ...IMHO of course.

I think people have become disillusioned with British TV as each time we turn on there is usually some american soap opera or some such on... which is all good but not every day!.
