Luna, the pitbull/boxer mix thrived on the newly introduced BARF diet.
She could hardly get up and walk around---at age of 13.5 , and her mom decided to give BARF a try.
Luna started wanting to go on short walks again and her mom felt like she was more aware of her surroundings about 3 months in to her diet.
Luna is now resting in peace, but we are thrilled that she lived last few months of her life with the diet that works!

  • dear geittocs, your 11yr old will LOVE it... don't be discouraged when you start the diet, as it takes a couple tries until they realize it's very tasty..!

the way i make my veggie glop is I used most green veggies - lettuce, chard, zucchini, broccolo, celery--and add carrots, cucumbers, apples and bananas.

    first make the liquid base:

a couple of whole raw eggs, with shell - about 1/2 cup yogurt - splash of apple cider vinegar/about 1/4 of cup - TBSP black strap molasses and tsp vitamin c

  • Your kids will be very happy!

Make sure to check out my other clips (rosie my dog) as she's about 9 but had many skin issues since I rescued her at 1.5yrs old and they're all GONE! no more skin issues! clean teeth, sweet breath...i can go on and on and on....

  • I'm starting the BARF diet with my 11year old Kuvasz. He was always a healthy eater. But now he's an enthusiastic one. To see the enthusiasm in their to eat a regular meal is so pleasing. With this diet you must incorporate vegetable matter. Any ideas as to how you do this. Thanks for the vid.

  • How I wish I'd know about raw food diets for dogs when my dog Gracie was still alive. Somehow, I believed what the vets said about dog food and never gave my dogs "real" food (Yes, I've kicked myself repeatedly for this). Gracie died when she was 12, but I think if she had lived her life on a natural, raw food diet, she likely would have lived longer.

I'm just now starting my dogs- one age 4, the other age 11 weeks- on a raw food diet.

    Thanks for sharing this.
