On today's season finale of the Baseball Nation show, Rob and Grant get into their regular season awards and postseason predictions. Despite his historic Triple Crown achievement, will Miguel Cabrera lose out to Mike Trout in the AL MVP race? Can Ryan Braun challenge Buster Posey for NL MVP? Can Justin Verlander overcome his 17 wins to leap past David Price or Jered Weaver for the AL Cy Young? Is the NL Cy Young R.A. Dickey's to lose, or does a dark horse, record-setting reliever like Craig Kimbrel have other plans? Out of the Orioles, Rangers, Braves and Cardinals, who will move on from the one-game playoff round? And, finally, although it's weeks away, who's going to win the World Series??!
Stay tuned to our channel throughout the postseason for some Google Hangouts with Rob and Grant!

I have a major mancrush on Trout (I'm an A's fan), and I completely agree with Grant's point regarding the Triple Crown and value, though I'm expecting Miggy to win it. Why is Kershaw not getting much CY consideration? He leads the NL in ERA, 2nd in FIP (by 0.02), 2nd in K's (by 1), and led in WHIP. The 14 wins should NOT bring him down. I'd give it to Kershaw, but I see Dickey winning it.

To promote Trout over Cabrera furthers the idea that The Triple Crown is one of the last "white boy achievements" which "WOULD" get downplayed if someone who wasn't "Ted Williamsesq" however you wanna intrepret that.
Oh, Cabrera wins the TC for first time in 45 years. But the whiteboy should be MVP. Im not making this up, this is "word on street" stuff.

I wonder how much hate mail you get from angry betters/gamblers, since you better get it right lol. Then again, you may be right so much you might not really see it (just recently subscribed to the channel).

The Angels finished 3rd with Trout and would have finished 3rd with out him (it's a classic Kiner situation), The true most "valuable" player this year was Derek Jeter, everyone in that line up other than he and Cano got hurt this year and Jeter's numbers are sick when you compare them as an age 39 short stop. I don't think anyone has ever had a year like that before as a 39 year old SS. It's truly historic
