Dr. Coyle Connolly Performs a Skin Cancer Biopsy

I'm no doctor but it looked a bit slap-dash!

He is using a multi dose vial for his local, extremely dangerous and a known path to transmission of HIV.

His differential is sloppy and he uses chemical and electrocautery to get haemostasis!

I think he is self taught.

damn... i got a biopsy done on my forearm and they took this cookie cutter thing to my arm, it left a nasty scar and took stiches...i wish they did it this way

The operation that Dr. Connolly performed there is known as a Shave Biopsy. It can only be used in some circumstances and can't be used on all areas. There's also the risk with a shave biopsy that you haven't cut deep enough to remove all the tumor.
It sounds like you both had Core Biopsy's performed on you, and those can leave a bit more of a scar but you tend to get more cells, and depending on the size of the biopsy can completely remove the tumor in all leves of yor skin.

This video is a good example of a good dermatologist. This guy knows what hes doing and its visible in the results. The dermatologist I went to cut out a chunk of meat that left a giant hole and does not heal.
