"Lets just do it, and See What Happens"
Freestyle event Upcountry, with camping, bbq, custom trophy's and gear for all. Final was judged by vote from everyone. In the end, the technical run by K.Pinto (Kahului side) got the points over the heavy charging locals (Kula) throwing what seemed like 150' sould drifts.

A Maui Classic, Great people, Great camping, good food. All we could do was appreciate what an incredible place we were at, and that, in the morning- It was ON!
Gather early and make the surprisingly (to everyone) long drive out to the ancient Hawaiian Church Ruins, where we started a 1.5 mi race down a hill that we felt would be worthy enough to bring everyone out to race. A spot that would give to the community, something original they would be stoked on, I hope we did that. We arrived to perfection, in every way. After a drive down and then back up, everyone was looking to the Haloe's to bust a line, down a seriously fast looking hill. With a heavy footed kick to lead the first charge, I never broke tuck,3/4 of the way down, the locals started passing me, each one trying to lead the way from the first run down (We rode here years before and took hrs before we mob'd it). !With perfect timing and approval from the Hawaiian Elders, that were gathered at the church at the same time, as well as some serious, "IT'S ON YOU'S", it was time to race or what now seemed like Roll the Dice. Race speeds were steady 40's, all the way down. The hill is a beast that you have to just charge, and outsmart your competitor, being able to time the finish line was how many got through to the next round.
Finals saw 3guys charging in stylistic tucking formating all the way down, with passes at every bend or straightaway.

Locals Andrew and Diego, shared an incredible little park that we were able to Cook Aloha Burgers, do some podiums and pass out trophy's and gear for everyone. 10sets of wheels, 4 trophy's, 3 boards, 16hats, shirts, swag. Thanks to our sponsors that coughed up some swag. Gravity, Rayne, Globe, Skater Socks, Pig Wheels, Khiro Skate Products, Edge boardshop, Oh yeah, our WIVES. Seriously, this was the most epic vacation 3 haole kooks could possibly have.Great waves the morning we left, was right on par for the course. The clean tubes were perfect for reflecting. Mahalo to everyone. We will see you again, "One Hill at a time....
