What? dude the Okami end screamed for a sequel? Okami 2 should take place on the flying isle of the Moon tribe, everyone who played the game wants to know of how the adventures go on there.
There isn't a sequel necessary for God Hand, but the story was just an excuse to beat up freaks anyway. I'm sure they could think of another satisfying one.
If the games sold better, they would make sequels. That's the real reason why the chance for a sequel isn't that high. I still hope for one.

Shinji Mikami hopes to one day create a spiritual successor to God Hand, just how that one guy who created the original Strider also created Osman (Cannon Dancer).

God Hand can't really get a good sequal. The dev team got everything they wanted with God Hand so there's no room for any more. And Okami got a sequal recently in the form of Okamiden.

@Stevers80 Nice thought but, it's not Sony's call it's Capcoms. They had an amazing year pissing off their fanbase in 2011. I have a relative that works in San Mateo (occasionally goes to Japan also). I asked him to try asking for Gene in MvC3 and he didn't make the cut because the devs thought he was irrelevant since they wanted to market games out at the time or very popular. Finally God Hand didn't leave it open to a sequel unlike the other clover games so doubt it can happen smoothly.
