My chevy 2000 malibu 3.1L comes factory with wide 215/60/R15 tires. And are horrible in MN winters. So this year back in august I was due for new tires. Did a bunch of tire searches and came across 195/65/R15. So thats what I put on the stock wheels. My tires are now 1.5 inches more narrow and gas mileage and speedometer are uneffected. So I am happy about all that. Smaller tire patch will be great in snow and slush. I also saved $20 per tire buy these narrower tires with the same radius size.

I am a single parent on a budget and I am going to the pick n' pull for tires and steelies. Other than the G5 and Pursuit (none avail) are there any other models (chevy or not) whose 15" steelies will fit the Cobalt. I have a 4 lug 2007 LS.

I got my Pontiac G5 for $8,100 dollars because it was discounted for being an earlier 09 along with a $6,000 dollar Pontiac discount and of course the $4,500 cash for clunkers discount.... around $11,000 dollars off the car. I would like snow tires but I don't have a the 4 bolt I have the five and NO one has the steel rims but if they did they would be 80 dollars a damn wheel! I can't afford snow tires with rims this year.

@WyvernZed, The 15" Saturn S-series steelies and alloys will fit on the Cobalt. Given that the older Civics 14" steelies had the exact same specs, I think it can safely be assumed the the 15" wheels off of the old Civics will also go on. A good junkyard has access to those type of specs and will help you find wheels that will fit. Wish the best of luck for you.

Hi. What about the caliper clearance? Because the cobalt has 15 inch wheels due to bigger brake parts comparing to the aveo (14 inch wheeler). Thanks.

@eurohugotube, I rechecked the aftermarket 14" wheels listed for the S-series, Aveo & Cobalt, they all mett the same specs. Remember too that the ION (The Saturn equivalent of the Cobalt) Used the very same 14" wheel found on the S-series. If you look at that wheel you will see it is flat where as the Aveo wheel has that dished out design. So it the 14" S-series wheel clears the caliper then the Aveo wheel most definatly will. The Aveo steel wheel is just the 14" version of the Cobalt steelie.
