Albert, a battered and abused budgie.

Albert was a tiny budgie who was caged up with larger, stronger birds. The bigger birds attacked him constantly, ripping out his feathers, tearing his skin. he was constantly driven away from food supplies, so he was also starving, slowly to death. His owner didnt think he was worth the 'expense' of a separate cage, so left him there to be battered and pecked and starved. A neighbour alerted me to his plight, and I went along to get him and release him from his torture. I did not know if I had got to him in time. As his torn and ripped flight feathers began to regrow, they had to, at first, be clipped to stop him using his broken wings, in order for them to heal. But Albert DID know the wonder of flight before his kidney tumour took him to Rainbow Bridge. he knew LOVE.

@animelover1082 sadly animalover, there will always be cruel people around. All we can do is constantly watch out for their victims, and do all we can to erase the pain and harm done to these creatures. Thank God, I do believe that the good people far outnumber the bad, so there is always hope xx

@AnnieBirdy As bizarre as this may sound I often wish we could just round up all the cruel people, including vicious prisoners and death row inmates, load them all onto trains, and exterminate them in concentration camps with Xyklon B cyanide! Don't call me sick, because that is EXACTLY what the Nazis did to millions of innocent Jewish people! As the cruel people do to many other innocent. Maybe I am right after all?
