Been listening to Irish Band Westlife and Australian, Delta Goodrem do this song and thought its a great tune to do.
It is written by Graham Russell and a hit for the band Air Supply. ( Graham Russell /British and Russell Hitchcock /Australian).
As it is a reflective song, it is played with with a minimalist approach.. There is no fancy finger work and little improvisation to keep the melancholy feel.
The song is considered to be one of the Greatest Love songs and has been covered by numerous artists since. Alan Tam translated the song into Cantonese, and made a cover which became a hit in Hong Kong in 1981. Andru Donalds released it as a single making it a Top 5 hit in parts of Europe in 1999. Australian band Mercury4 included the song on their debut album in 2004. American R&B group Jagged Edge recorded a version for the soundtrack to the Jamie Foxx movie Breakin' All the Rules (2004). The band Westlife recorded the song as a duet with Australian singer Delta Goodrem for Westlife's 2006 album. Irish band OTT had a hit with the song in their country and in UK. The song has also been covered by the band Enigma, and later by English singer Declan Galbraith. John Barrowman includes a version on his 2007 album Another Side. Cliff Richard also covered this on his 2007 album Love. Keira Green recorded a dance cover in 2006. Canadian recording artist, Mary Zilba did a pop/dance rendition and was a Top 40 Hit on the Canadian Charts for over 12 weeks. In 2003 UK dance project Foundation teamed up with female vocalist Natalie Rossi for a cover of the track. The song has been featured in Todd Solondz's movie Happiness 1998, the South Park episode "Raisins", and the Office episode "Stress Relief".
Lyrics:
I'm lying alone with my head on the phone
Thinking of you till it hurts
I know you hurt too but what else can we do
Tormented and torn apart
I wish I could carry your smile and my heart
For times when my life feels so low
It would make me believe what tomorrow could bring
When today doesn't really know, doesn't really know
Chorus:
I 'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you
I know you were right believing for so long
I 'm all out of love, what am I without you
I can't be too late to say that I was so wrong
I want you to come back and carry me home
Away from this long lonely nights
I'm reaching for you, are you feeling it too
Does the feeling seem oh so right
And what would you say if I called on you now
And said that I can't hold on
There's no easy way, it gets harder each day
Please love me or I'll be gone, I'll be gone
Chorus
Oh, what are you thinking of?
What are you thinking of?
Oh, what are you thinking of?
What are you thinking of?
Chorus(3x)

Awesome, wicked performance. I play a bit myself, and can definitely spot a A-1 Top performance.
I was wondering, you somehow put a audio directly into your comp? Or DVD recording?

at1212b thanks for your comment and interest.
Stereo Audio output is connected directly to the computer to get that sound.
Youtube files are compressed so you can imagine how much better the actual sound is.
