Most states have some sort of grandparents' rights to visitation. If a court order is needed the judge may look at the relationship between the grandparent and the grandchild, potential harm that may result if the visitation is not allowed. Burden is usually on the grandparent.

  • i dont understand children can get mad at there parents and use the grandchildren against them i have not seen my grandbabies and they lived with me til oct with my daughter they love their nana but cant see me they will forget me and never remember all the books i have read or the hugs and kisses i gave them everyday its not fair and nothing i can do does not make sense that she can let my grandbabies hurt and want to see me there has to be something done to protect these children rights

  • If you want to file for grandparents rights is it a real form or just handwritten. I will represent myself in court. I am having trouble getting any help with this. I live in the state of Il and have contacted the Gov, his suggestions as to what to do have not worked out either. Very Upset in Illinois
