"...Hough got up to speak at a town hall meeting for Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-IL). Talking about losing your daughter-in-law and unborn grandchild is front of a gathering is courage in itself. Sometimes even saying it out loud makes it more painful.

If only Hough's problems ended there.

But as we all know, as Hough was telling her heartfelt story, she was heckled by the tea party protesters.

As if that wasn't enough, Hough was also accused of being an Obama plant, and that she made up the story. Even if those rumors and speculation were confirmed as being false, while that may be a consolation, it doesn't make the hurt any better. "

  • Sad story, but worse will happen with socialized healthcare and to a lot more people. My prays go to Mrs. Hough's family regarding her loss but her stand about socialized healthcare is wrong. Remember Communism sounded great on paper too. People have forgotten history & think "Social Studies" is the new history. We need to educate & inform ourselves.

  • @GadsdenChicago First of all, Fuck You very much. Second of all, fuck your dog, too! Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, stick your rattlesnake flag up your ass and whistle Dixie!

  • @GadsdenChicago In Sweden we have free healtcare, and sure, there is alot of queues , the taxes are high as well, but the funny thing is, that actually, it doesn't really matter since everyone know that we have to pay this high price wich enable us to adopt. Sweden has had a mixed economy for a long time, bot does that makes us a poor, undemocratic miniature-image of lets say Soviet Russia (since u brought up Communism)? absolutely not! Do yourself a favour, get ridd of the cold-war propaganda.

  • @greenlawnmover I love it when dumb-as-shit Kochsucking Teabaggers get their filthy double-speak bullshit called out by the very people they think they're talking about. I'll bet this drunken wife beater, Gladass, has never been out of the country

  • @GadsdenChicago I suggest that you educate & inform yourself too, because to compare or even link "socialized" health care to communism is just dumb. Communism and socialism aren't and never have been the same thing! In Belgium, we have free health care too, and that in no way hurts the people more than to get rejected at a hospital when you need medical assistance. How could it? And how could anybody defend a system where people are denied necessary medical assistance because of money?

  • tea party peeps are racist azzholes....idiots wom are too stupid to live.....

  • @TheAlexander22092 I doubt you are a social worker.

  • No one qualifies for government assistance until they have been "down and out" for a period of time, NO ONE! As for Medicare, the general rule is age 65 and up or if you're in kidney failure for a set period of time. If you have a job that offers health insurance, great. But if you lose your job, most people can't afford the cost of COBRA and they certainly cannot afford the cost of an independent plan. The ER will treat the bare minimum only. But you can't get heart surgery, etc.

  • @susandellgun Thank you for your first hand knowledge, Susan. Our "friend" has been trying to demoralize us with some sort of rationalization for the lose of human life. How he looks at himself in the mirror each morning while holding such disregard for his neighbors is beyond me.

  • @CubsFanJohn Medicare is federally funded. Medicaid is the state provision, and option given to 'some' in need, but ONLY IF the income is FAR below poverty level. I'm a disabled ICU RN, now living on $1300/month. I have medicare, which pays ~80% of 'approved' expenses. I do NOT qualify for ANY STATE help, ie Medicaid, UNTIL I have spent $550 each MONTH on medical expenses! (what about groceries?) I once made $75 k/yr, but now a fraction of that, and can't receive the care I GAVE OTHERS!
