An old concept that I gave up on and ended up passing on to -haZe-, who would go on to land it beautifully for The Art of Tricking II. In retrospect, I wasn't thinking enough about how to structure the timing, and ended up making the trick much harder than it should've been. I've since landed it multiple times with some revised timing on the second, third, and fifth rockets.

Of all the places to hit, I hit the tiny crevice formed by the intersection of the opening and the sliding door :P

From the ending of Live II Fly, this one was just a classic case of "close, but not quite." I could reach out and touch that landing!

A really great hit off of this 3x, this one illustrates the struggles involved with a backwards landing. oTis was commenting about the loud explosion sound that happens when you get a frame-precise (1/125 second) impact.

Another case of a backwards landing going wrong... A spectating oTis was sympathetic as usual :D I would eventually land this one for Live II Fly; I always liked it from an aesthetic point of view.

An incredible impact and I still failed to reach the landing—making it to the flag on this trick requires not just a razor-sharp hit, but one in the correct direction as well. This was during attempts for one of those "cover tricks" I did, originally performed by Dynam1c for The Art of Tricking II. Extremely hard, but more consistent than you might think.

Fairly recent, this was one of what would be an almost common occurrence: getting a beastly impact and failing to cover enough lateral distance to make it to the landing. As tall as tr1ckhouse-beta3 is, it would be great if it was just a little bit taller! A 6xrj (max ~7100u) cannot make it to the highest area, and a 7xrj (max ~9400u) typically hits the ceiling hard. RTB, spectating, took extra pleasure watching me fail ;)

  • All failures? What happenned to the successes? Or do you get paid for them as long as you dont post them to youtube?

  • @tkonan There is definitely no money involved in doing rocket jumps :P This is just a collection of tragic-but-funny misses from over the years

  • Hahahaha, very nice movie!
